Boy oh boy, what do we have here? ANOTHER language maniac blog? Gee, I sure hope this one has content different from all the others floating around out there!
Nah, probably not. Either way, I wanted to document my experiences learning Asian languages here. The title of the site may be a little misleading, as I’m definitely not a polyglot by any means yet, but I’d like to be someday….specifically, a polyglot of Asian languages!
Japanese is my main focus at the moment, but I tend to get a bit of language wanderlust sometimes, so I might post about other languages here as well. For now I’m off to live in Japan, teaching English through the JET Program. I intend to really engage with the people there and finally get my Japanese to fluency!
My other side-project is Vietnamese, but this is low-priority, and I’ll probably only be doing reviews on Anki to maintain what I learned in my first-year language class for now.
